Complaints procedure
Everyone has the right to request digital accessibility to the website, mobile application or any elements thereof. You can also request information to be made available using an alternative means of access.

Entrance to the building
Two entrances to the University’s Library building, the first from Lipowa Street, the second on the opposite side from ‘the roundabout, the garden’.
A slope from Lipowa Street towards the building. The double doors, between the vestibule, manually opened. One wing 90 centimetres wide, when both wings opened – 150 centimetres wide. Help available from Building’s Security or from University’s Library staff by telephone. No steps or thresholds in the entrances to the University’s Library (BUW) building.
Assistance obtained by telephoning Building’s Security, open 24 hours a day, at telephone no. +48225525100 or +48225525153, or the BUW Information Desk, open during BUW opening hours, at telephone no. +48225525178 or +48225525179.
Corridors and passages
Flat corridors in the University Library building, without steps or thresholds. Doors to rooms 90 centimetres wide, handles at a height up to 110 centimetres. Lift doors 90 centimetres wide, the lift cabin 140 x 110 centimetres. The lifts in the building accessible without additional procedures.
Procedures
Access to the building for persons with disabilities requires assistance to open the door.

Bathrooms, toilets, changing rooms
Cloakrooms located on the ground floor of the University’s Library building to the right and left of the University’s Library entrance. In the cloakrooms bathrooms for persons with disabilities, on the right the women’s one, on the left the men’s one.
Bathrooms for persons with disabilities are located:
- staircase 4 on the first and second floors in “open access”,
- staircase No. 9 “rogal” on level 2 underground to the third floor.
No restrictions in terms of accessibility for persons with disabilities to cloakrooms or bathrooms.
Additional customizations
No Braille descriptions in the lecture’s halls, secretariats and reception desk. An inductive loop located in the auditorium on level 2 underground. The auditorium not equipped with headphones for the loop. Braille room descriptions available in the Sport’s” rooms on level 1 underground. No voice information in the lifts and Braille descriptions of the buttons.

Bus stops located at Dobra Street next to the University Library. Zebra crossing with light and audio signals. Bus lines: 106, 118, 127
The right to enter with an assistance dog
Easy access with a guiding dog.
Additional information about the building
On the first floor at “catalogue hall” some architectural obstacles that make it difficult for persons with visual impairments to move around (protruding handrails of the spiral staircase).
