Anna Grędzińska

Equal opportunities chief specialist

Anna creates and implementes anti-discrimination policies, activities for equal treatment and diversity. The main task of the equal opportunities specialist is gender mainstreaming, i.e. integration of a gender perspective into the preparation, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policies and programmes, with a view to promoting equality between women and men, and combating discrimination. Anna also promotes and disseminates equal treatment and anti-discrimination standards. The equal opportunities specialist also implements equality activities set out in the Gender Equality Plan for the University of Warsaw and the HR Excellence in Research Strategy, including i.a. developing solutions facilitating the reconciliation of professional, family and private life, activities to support and strengthen the position of women, including in decision-making positions, as well as taking action for people from discriminated groups.

Coordinator for counteracting unequal treatment, discrimination, mobbing and other undesirable behaviour

Anna Grędzińska is also a member of the Team of Coordinators for counteracting unequal treatment, discrimination, mobbing and other undesirable behaviour, specializing in counteracting unequal treatment and discrimination. In this regard she closely cooperates with the Unequal Treatment and Discrimination Commission. Any person who has experienced discrimination or unequal treatment may report the incident to the Coordinator who will provide support, investigate the matter and help with next steps.

dr hab. Julia Kubisa, prof. UW

Chief specialist on equality research and education 

Julia conducts researches in the field of equality and coordinatats, supervises and supports activities for equality education (e.g. equality and anti-discrimination courses and training). The scope of competence of this position also includes the implementation of tasks set out in the Gender Equality Plan for the University of Warsaw, including: collecting and analyzing equality statistics, as well as activities to support women’s careers (e.g. networking programs for PhD students and mentoring programs for female researchers). She creates educational materials, guidelines and recommendations. She is also responsible for coordinating the network of equality plenipotentiaries in the faculties.

In the 2020-2024 term, Julia Kubisa holds the position of the Rector’s Plenipotentiary for the Policy of Counteracting Discrimination and Sexual Harassment

Julia improves of the information flow process (in close cooperation with the Rector of UW), including ensuring the creation and transmission of adequate messages regarding the closure of formal proceedings in cases of discrimination and harassment. If necessary, staying in touch with the victims and the university community. She cooperates with the Press Office of the University of Warsaw in the field of internal and external communication. She plays an expert and advisory role.

Zuzanna Kaszuba

Equality classes specialist

Zuzanna deals with the substantive and administrative organization of training and courses in the field of equality and human rights for students of the University of Warsaw, both traditional and online. She creates courses on the university’s e-learning platform, prepares their graphic design, and in cooperation with UW units, she takes care of improving the functionality and the operation of the courses. The specialist’s tasks also include taking ongoing actions for equality, including promotional activities and raising awareness of equality and diversity issues.
