The University of Warsaw’s Equality Team, together with the Feminoteka Foundation, invites the entire academic community – students, PhD candidates, and employees at the University of Warsaw – to participate in a free training session, “How to Respond to Sexual Harassment in Public Spaces?”, which will take place on November 28th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The training will be conducted online, and participation requires prior registration using the form available here. Full session will be contucted in Polish.
During the session, participants will learn the 5D method (Distract, Involve, Document, Speak Up, Support) – a practical tool that helps respond to harassment in public spaces in a safe and supportive manner.
You will learn, among other things:
- how to respond when someone experiences harassment in a public place,
- how to avoid being a passive bystander and intervene effectively,
- how to ensure your own safety and the safety of the person experiencing violence.
The training is part of the international 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, which aims to raise public awareness and support actions for equality and the prevention of gender-based violence.
We cordially invite you to participate!
