Recommendations for teachers – how to proceed after the tragic events of May 7

We encourage you to read and disseminate information prepared by the The Psychological and Counselling Services Centre UW (CPP UW) regarding the course of action in classes after our community experienced the tragic death of a UW employee.

Recommendations prepared by a team of psychologists and crisis interventionists contain useful and practical information regarding, among others:

  • How to conduct classes and how to talk to students about a tragic event?
  • What emotional and psychological reactions can be expected in the coming days after experiencing trauma?
  • Preventive actions and setting boundaries in the case of undesirable behaviors
  • Return to normality
