New Season of the Networking Group for Women PhD Candidates at the University of Warsaw

With the beginning of the new academic year, a new season of the Networking Group for Women PhD Candidates at the University of Warsaw is starting – an initiative that provides space for meetings, experience sharing, and mutual support among doctoral candidates at UW.

The Network’s meetings are open and informal. They do not involve any obligations or assigned tasks – their main goal is to build a supportive community of doctoral candidates, exchange experiences related to academic work, and empower one another in various aspects of academic and personal life.

During the meetings, participants discuss topics such as:

  • working on a PhD and the challenges it entails,

  • preparing publications and grant applications,

  • balancing academic duties with professional and private life,

  • the role of women in academia.

The Network is coordinated by dr. hab. Julia Kubisa, a member of the Equality Team and Dean of the Faculty of Sociology.

The first meeting of the new academic year will take place on 27 October at 3:00 PM, Karowa 18 (Faculty of Sociology), room 104.

More information about the initiative can be found here.

All doctoral candidates are warmly encouraged to take part!
