Equality education in numbers

The University of Warsaw offers equality courses and workshops for employees, students, and doctoral candidates, which deepen their understanding of stereotypes, discrimination, and the consequences of their impact in the academic environment. Participants learn tools for responding to instances of discrimination, techniques for promoting equality, and support procedures and practices—for example, in the context of sexual harassment and mobbing.

The courses are primarily available online, often leading to a certificate, and are offered as OGUN courses or as training for UW staff. A detailed description of the equality classes on offer can be found here.

Since 2022, the training offering has been systematically expanded, including through the development of an English-language version and pilot implementations in of Ukrainian-language version, which enabled access for members of the UW international community.
